Interested in Building level analysis using the Hazus Canada flood module...

The attached Standard Operating Protocol has been shared by our colleagues at FEMA.  The protocol outlines the process to develop a detailed building inventory for modelling flood losses from an event

FoundationType for Underground Parking

Hazus FoundationTypes for the Flood module are:

Slab on Grade
Fill
Crawl Space
Basement / Yard
Solid Wall
Pier
Pile

What would be the appropriate value for buildings that have an underground parking lot?

Thanks.

ShowImportDialog error

Has anyone seen this error, after finishing the field mapping for import in the User Defined Facilities dialog?

"ShowImportDialog caught Unexpected exception from PDTISHELLLib"

Sometimes when trying to import I have got a clue as to the error, like "datatypes don't match". I assume that it is something to do with the dialog box itself, but what?

This is for the Flood beta module.

Thanks

Function IDs for User Defined Facilities

The flood model manual, page 6-9 says that required fields for UDFs includ BldgDamageFnID and ContFnID. I see in the SQL Server flBldgContDmgFn table the field ContDmgFnId with an integer value like 21, matched with an Occupancy of RES1 and a description "one floor, no basement, Contents, A-Zone". You can also get these numbers by opening a study region, going to the Analysis menu - Damage Functions - Buildings - Structure tab.

Does the manual mean that I am simply to copy these numbers into the BLDGDAMAGEFNID field for each UDF feature?
