November CanHUG - Probabilistic Modeling, Warnings, Response and Resilience for the Pacific Northwest (M9) – Dan Abramson

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016. Please join us and share your stories and ideas relating to natural hazard risk assessment and the Hazus tool. This month, we will feature a presentation from Dan Abramson on the Magnitude 9 Earthquake Scenarios – Probabilistic Modeling, Warnings, Response and Resilience for the Pacific Northwest (M9). As always, we will share the latest news on the Hazus Canada application and events and training of interest. See information to join the meeting below.

April CanHUG - Chris Burton - Assessing Recovery from Catastrophic Earthquakes using the Global Earthquake Model (GEM)

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, April 27, 2016. Please join us and share your stories and ideas relating to natural hazard risk assessment and the Hazus tool. This month, we will feature a presentation from Chris Burton of the Global Earthquake Model on his work with the California Safety Commission and researchers at UCLA in developing a recovery model to help anticipate the impacts and consequences of a seismic event, and factors that influence capacities to withstand and recover from a major earthquake.
