Disaster resilience by design: a framework for integrated assessment and risk-based planning in Canada

A report outlining key elements of the Pathways framework (GSC Open File 7551). The manuscript is focussed on natural hazard risk reduction and includes chapters that document underlying theoretical principles, a proposed framework for integrated assessment and risk-based planning (Chapter 4), and a case study demonstrating how these methods can be used to support planning and policy development at a community scale (Chapter 5). It is available for download from GeoScan (see reference below).
