Fr TBD: INRS Project

[ To be translated to French ]

The Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique – Eau, Terre, Environnement (INRS-ETE) is collaborating with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), through the Quebec Geoscience Centre (QGC) / Centre géoscientifique de Québec (CGQ), in order to support common geoscience projects. The CGQ is a unique partnership between a university centre and a governmental organization, INRS-ETE and NRCan/GSC (http://cgqqgc.ca/).

Researchers at the QGC focus their activities on pertinent socio-economic issues by increasing the knowledge related to regional geology, georesources and environmental geoscience. Education and research activities at INRS-ETE focus on: environmental risks associated with natural events and contamination, integrated management of water and mineral resources and land-use planning, rehabilitation technology for natural and urban environments, and impact and adaptation associated with climate change and extreme events.

NRCan’s QGR project is currently collaborating with researchers from INRS-ETE in the flood hazard domain.
